Capital losses can only be carried forward for 7 years which is also a bit unfair. Not only do losses not index like capital does but you lose them after a relatively short period of time. this mean that those that suffer a really big loss and where they take many years to rebuild their capital, they get the double slap in the face because of the cutoff on carried forward losses.
