Well it appears that I am now wrong , my bad, it appears that the Carlyle group has divested most of it's military stuff now, but the links are still there, it would seem that they are using a differnt tack to get money from the Government?

Another spectacular acquisition was QinetiQ, the privatized arm of Britains military research corporation. It was acquired by Carlyle in 2003, sold in 2007, and recently emerged as one of the premiere U.S. intelligence contractors after netting a $470 million profit for Carlyle. It appears that they are now frying bigger fish but they still smell the same,and are run by the same people from political backgrounds.
