I noticed in the recent annual report that Avin David Lieberman had joined the register with a significant investment of 10m shares - the largest shareholding in a personal name.

As some might know, Avin is a former South African property developer who moved to Australia and was briefly a director of Centro Retail. He also gets a mention in a recent article by South African magazine, Noseweek, which it is only now possible to read without subscription

According to Noseweek he was one of the few winners in this recent South African millionaire ponzi scheme.
Barry Tannenbaum’s friend Avin David Lieberman of Australia invested R186m and got back R222.9m.

The relevance to Nexbis is of course minimal. But it makes for another interesting story.
