NE laid it out very clearly for us about Dubbo... it will not be until LYC's 20% excess production is absorbed that Dubbo will become a factor. I got no sense he thought that was close to happening just yet.

Hi @maplelegion fwiw... I can tell you how I am tackling the problem of when to buy.
My initial holding I pyramided by an extra 50%... which means my average price remains below the current trading price. When it continued to rise I mentally placed that stock I hold in the bottom drawer.. I then bought another parcel equal to the total number of shares of my existing holding and I will treat it as a new holding [which if the price continues to rise I will also pyramid by 50%]. Finally I bought another parcel on a slight retrace [the same cash cost of my initial holding before the announcement which set this off], which is to be used for range trading [the purpose being to either pick up some more stock or to gradually lower my overall average price].

ALK has always been a low risk stock... the problem with it has been the low volatility it displays [although I am confident some people have been playing it for pip trades for a very long time]. Now it is a candidate for massively re-rating over the next 1 or 2 years.... at the current SP it is fully valued on known assets but the 500 metre intercept is not going away and very likely will be repeated multiple times. A commercial porphyry is a rare thing... if this proves to be such ALK is heading to the ASX 100 list.
