Their cash earnings are no where near their reported accounting earnings figures... the reason being that their reported earnings are from discounting the future value of their assets to the present time.
A very convoluted method of accounting for earnings... thus their earnings figures are grossly misrepresentative of their true financial position.
You need to do a bit more homework on this one...
