It's fine if you're sensible enough about it.
I have bought IMU with my Superannuation but not so much that if it becomes a duster I'm ruined financially.
I've invested what I could afford to lose. I have a bottom price I'd get out with a loss for so will get some back.
To me, what I've invested against my total is a risk reward play that is worth it.
Certainly someone spending an overly large % on any speculative stock is not being financially prudent.
