Yesterday the Deputy Treasurer was forced to concede the new Super Tax on unrealised gains was a brain fart that needed to be looked at. It’s very worrying that Bureaucrats from Treasury and both the Treasurer and his Deputy have so little understanding of Taxation, Superannuation and Asset Investments but still want to be the overlords of our delicate Superannuation System.
The unrealised gains might not make into legislation. But they seem determined to ti maintain their stupidity with regards to defining Superannuation. Just be very careful with your investment strategies.
At present Jim Chalmers whose only life experience is reading some books on the benefits of Socialism is in charge of your investments. And we all know the only person who looks out for your interest is YOU.
