BEIJING (Reuters) - China imported 37.6 percent less refined copper and 40.8 percent less refined nickel in January than a year earlier, official Customs figures showed on Monday.

China imported 70,741 tonnes of refined copper and 6,301 tonnes of refined nickel last month, figures showed.

It exported 60,370 tonnes of primary aluminium, customs data showed, representing a drop of 47.5 percent, according to Reuters calculations.

Will be worth seeing what the February figures are like when they come out.

Another major down month of imports could be a very worrying sign.

We'll see.
