The explanation I got was that BD1 have to be careful that the Ovarian test only finds Ovarian cancer....so each test needs to be targeted to a specific cancer and its complicated.
I think this has to be the case for FDA approvals ect......it must say what it does specifically.
They test each peptide individually to make sure they all point to the target cancer, then put them together, multiplex, to make sure they work the same combined. They then need to run the algo to make sure that does what its supposed to.
Even though I understood it was complicated I think its an order of magnitude above my ideas!
For the delay I wonder if Thermo have had a hand in that? As the test kit building contractor BD1 would be at their whim?
