Agreed Sturds but, it takes about 20 years before you know you have it. By the time it is diagnosed you have less than 12 months to live.

Most asbestos products were used over 25 years ago, the buildings are now old and people are renovating or have been renovating them in recent years.

The problem is about to explode.

I was a mechanic for many years, often replacing brake lining on heavy vehicles. We used to blow the brake dust out of the hubs with compressed air, no masks, we didn't think it was necessary.

The problem hasn't really started yet.

Though, tell that to the ones dying now.
