a very good friend of mine is in the corporate game and he knows a few fund managers at Goldman sachs. i asked him about shorting and he said ASIC don't like any fraudulent activity with regards to lending and buying back. if you short on market by selling borrowed stock you have to buy it back on market in general terms. these shorters have to buy back on market or maybe if given a placement they can replace stock. ASIC are getting heaps of heat on shorting and plenty want it limited to ASX 50 or 100. next time i speak to company i will be making sure they know who has shorted the stock and they wont be getting any CR stock when one is done maybe next year when Sweden is in play. EGR don't need funds so i cannot see CR this year. i will be pushing them on this point to make sure they screw over shorts. i'll ring today and see if they pick up.
