Its not like they couldn't afford it! Base salaries of between $350k and $400k and, what, they can't afford to buy shares for a change?

Not a bad idea. I have seen another stock establish a buy back arrangement for just a couple of $m drawn to bottom feed over a couple of years, enabling a floor to be placed on the stock. It is working well. Most specs and early developers have been low for the last couple of years.
