Possibly, maybe, but unlikely. This project has been heavily backed by the state government through the issuing of lead agency status and province resources being named in the renewable energy target to be announced at the end of the year. Bother liberal and labor hydrogen policy during the whole election campaign has been very vague at best with labor’s signature policy being a hydrogen hub to be built in Whyalla SA.
The MOU with total eren is set to expire at the end of the month so will be interesting to see what unfolds this week. A JDA between province and total eren could prove to be very fruitful for Albanese and possibly rekindle the damaged relationship between Australia and France that was damaged under Morrison’ government.
