    In answer to your question , with the 80 percent I spread this around. Do it fairly strategically. If I know a good IPO coming up through a certain broker will be more inclined to put trading through them prior to the IPO coming up.
    The Touchcorp IPO tricky. I do not believe the brokers were given any firm stock to hand out to clients. It was all done via a bookbuild to determine demand and pricing. ( Similar to MPL) Went into the bookbuild at final price and nominated a $ amount that I was interested in. It was scaled back and ended up getting about a third of what I asked for from memory . I am noticing that many IPOs are now handled like this.
    Based on your description of how you trade not convinced that dealing with brokers will serve you well unless they give you good licks of IPO's .
