I got myself a brand new set of wheels and that night with my sister working overtime mum and I had the great idea to
pick her up from work.
I found the perfect parking spot but could not get the thing into reverse even when looking at the instruction manual.
Next minute mum's out of the car and I hear - excuse me officer but I wonder would you please assist young big e here.
It doesn't seem to want to go backwards.
Hells bells mum I might just lose my licence and we will all be going home on public transport.
Officer had a go and also failed and then suggested I just drive around the block while mum waited outside and I briefly
double park to get them in.
Mum insisted I garaged the thing in case it was stolen and of course I had to ring sales people to back the thing out.
Of course they obliged and were pleasant with mum there but kidding I didn't feel stupid. Better to call sales than RACV
because I could only have so many call outs for free in a year I think.
