anferni, I find IG and other market makers are good for providing unbelievable leverage on equities, they can not manipulate this market unless they go into the physical market and do business which will no doubt cost them more than they will make from trying to squeeze you out of your position. When it comes to the index, I think its better to use real futures rather than a market maker. Just my opinion, im sure Robbs words of wisdom will help out so u might not need the futures!
