    google "galilee basin" and checkout the recent activity. of particular note is waratah coals (toronto exchange) development plans and AGL's latest venture. Origin are also active.

    but the callide basin tenements may be the next ones up for some drilling.....anglo american have a thermal coal mine called "callide" in this basin.
