The optimistic view is that it will be a minimum of two years before any gold will be produced from under Charters Towers, all going well. This does not take into account any EIS, council or public outcry hurdles. The question must be asked - Is the gold there? The simple answer is - No one knows. There is little hard, believable technical evidence to back up future reserves. It's all a big gamble for Mr Ooi. Do your own research.
