    Townsville has been stagnant for a number of years, but it cannot become a ghost town [it is continuing to grow] so there is a floor to the market, unlike Mackay which felt the mining slump badly.

    Lavarack Brks. is now the largest army base with the 2nd Cav moving in and still not permanently housed.

    There are better areas than Kirwan with it's high crime rates though.
