re: directors should have clarified to market Kincella - it's not the consolidation and deferred settlement that is the cause for confusion. As you say, companies do it all the time.
It's the fact that the record date isn't until the 28th. The problem is, people who buy now at the consolidated price will be holding shares on the 28th that they bought at, say, $1.32, whereas many others will be holding shares they bought at a few cents. The record date should have been the day of the approval announcement - yesterday. Then there would have been no confusion.
