Again, with respect, you make a very strong assertion about the Australian nuclear tests. Yes, I've seen those iconic film clips, but where is the evidence of radiation-related sickness and death - significantly greater than the population average. I would really like to see that evidence. I'm of that generation too, and I know that heavy smoking of very strong unfiltered cigarettes was normal and very common in the 50s and 60s, as well as heavy alcohol consumption and generally much less concern about exposure to dun, etc than we now accept as common sense. I was a smoker too, until I 'saw the light' in 1972!
Please show me the non-anecdotal evidence...
