They altered their statistical analysis to get rid of the statistical significance.

The research group was under the Kaiser Health Group umbrella. Kaiser has been promoting flu shots for pregnant women during all three trimesters since 2004. If they reported their actual findings, that would make them complicit in the serious harm of a great many children. So they did what has become all too common practice in the industry, they fiddled the statistics to fit their agenda and to promote their profits.
