The other advantage of buying options is you dont have to outlay all your cash up-front if you re looking to buy a certain number of shares, so for example:
If you have $10K you want to invest in TOX, then you could buy TOX now, which at 4.9c would get you 204,081 shares. Instead you could buy 204081 TOXO shares which gives you the right to convert to TOX for 3c per share. So in that instance you would need to outlay $4081 now for 204081 share at 2c each. Thus you can use your other $6000 for something else until January when you would be required to exercise.
So options are not only useful for maximising leverage but alternatuvely for reducing the capital required to lock in purchase of shares at a later date.
Options are more risky and have a finite life and can become an issue on any takeoer bids as there are no voting rights for option holders.
