Do you remember how crazy you said I was for supporting HEVs and PHEVs. Looks like it only took you 3 ~ 4 years to figure out that HEVs are a very important transition vehicle. That they will sell more vehicles for 5 to 10 years than BEVs. You always sad "BEVs or bust" I think you are busted.
HEVs demand is much higher than EV demand already The gap is widening and will continue for at least 5 years, then shrink. Be very careful how you look at this. Tesla Model Y, there best seller by a lot, Has 400 ~ 600KW of traction motor depending on model & options. Your post put Toyota at 120KW. So Toyota has to sell 3 ~5 vehicles to replace the PM demand of one model Y.
