This thread is about Diesel Cheat....not EVs....there are umpteen
threads about EVs generally and Tesla specifically which those
with diesel vehicles that have/have had the Diesel Cheat are not likely
to be interested in the marketing woes of Tesla
IMO many of the Toyota impacted vehicles are 2nd owners who
would not have likely bought had they known of the Cheat because
now it means the added expanse and inconvenience of AddBlue on
Toyota rectifies the problem. At leat that is what VW did.
IMO the class action will be interesting. Will Toyota have to pay
owners more than VW in compensation or will Toyota draw this
out for years to minimise costs?
The question is: If you were given the choice of two identical
vehicles, one AddBlue & the other no AddBlue.....how much extra
would you pay for the latter...........and how much does the Diesel Cheat devalue
the vehicles concerned?
IMO for a 2017 Fortuner/Pardo...about $5K
