    If ORI was about to have a bad result one would think it would make far better sense to keep Ian Smith around for the announcement and then axe him.

    That way the result gets pegged on him specifically.

    Also ORI long term assuming they continue with a capital management push should be a serious earner. The company has very large amounts of cash churning through that business and even through the GFC continued quite strongly. Having said that the mining sector was doing ok during that time so.......mm

    My point being that ORI really has no more capital expenditures coming planned for the next few years so its all going to be about cost cutting, capital management and turning that large volume $ straight into dividends instead as they won't be doing anything else with it.....
