Its a business decision WestCoast....

I think TPG mobile was always crap. My dad uses it because its cheap. I would never entertain using tpg as a mobile provider.

The mobile offering may change with a merge with vodafone and some significant investment.

TPG internet works fine for me. In terms of iinet it may well be just an acquisition to knock out the marginally higher cost provider with better customer service. Mid range.

This creates breathing space between high cost and low cost provider area. The gap..in $$$.

TPG hence has lowered its cost base yet given ppl in the middle a choice to either to payup for telstra and optus or stay with tpg.

In the end they will lose some volume but they will have extremely low cost base with higher volume with merge with iinet. As not all will opt for Telstra and Optus as their customer service is not really that good either a big diff in $$$.
