I rang TPG and asked them about these crazy prices yesterday.
They didn't give much away in terms of intel but the sentiment I get is that they're doing this kind of pricing close to breakeven (possibly at a loss) but when they switch from Vodafone mvno to their own network it will be profitable.
They're simply going to get as many users on the books over the next 18 months.
