Good question Lunardragon and many of us are proabaly wondering as well.
My guess is the recent capital raising has temporarily reduced the funds of TPG stockholders - the funds that would have been used to buy extra shares have been soaked up to pay for the options. Also, every man and his dog are aware of the increased competition that TPG has brought to the telecom market, so the margins are being squeezed. Telstra has already blinked and sacked a large number of staff (not for the first time or the last). So there is uncertainty, which is making investors fearful of the sector. However, from memory, in late-September TPG normally gives its progress report. This report should show us how the recent turbulence has played out for TPG. Has there been a growth in customers, etc? At that time we will either get a warm glow or a gut ache. I don't think we have to wait until 2018. But what would I know - I haven't been able to pick too many winners lately.
