Special dividends aren't really their thing anyway. Looking back at the history they paid out quite a bit when NHC sold some coal assets at the top of the market but was was a significantly bigger cash windfall than what their getting out of the TPG special dividend. Since about 2016 TPG were investing heavily in their businesses and paying out very low dividends. There has been plenty of talk about significantly higher dividends from the merged entity and this is going to benefit SOL massively over the next few years.
