A Harvard business Review article outlined 5 reasons why a great product might fail commercially. I hope Nuheara can avoid all 5. I think it will - but we'll just have to wait and see:
1. The company launches prematurely before the product is ready. As a result, the product falls short of its claims and gets bashed in product reviews and by customers.
2. The company can't cope with fast growth. It can't scale up the manufacturing without hurting product quality.
3. The product isn't differentiated enough from its competitors to attract buyers.
4. The product defines a new category and requires substantial consumer education - but doesn't get it. As a result, potential buyers can''t quickly grasp how to use the product.
5. The product is revolutionary, but there's no market for it. Who will buy this and at what price?
