Translation potential was noted by Nuheara as a possible future development by 3rd parties.  IQbuds are the enabler.  Personally I see this has very exciting but highly complex and I personally don't think it will be achieved in the short to mid term. (read: within 3 - 4 years)

Currently translations need to go through a phone that is connected to the internet to massive AI servers and take time to return a translation that is not that accurate.  For IQbuds to translate on-the-fly I imagine it would need to sever the link to the internet (at the least) in order to keep pace with a conversation and it would be even more complex in a noisy environment or with multiple people in the conversation.

That AI would need to exist in the IQbuds or on the phone at the least.

I didn't know what to make of Eric with his posts last week. He was a bit all over the place but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.  Today's posts were uncalled for.  Nicely handled by @Auge
