Hope not Bebo, Nov 2020 is a long time to wait. I think China economy will suffer much more than US. It's more likely that China will be influenced by current US reporting season which is showing a strong economy persists. The Democrat candidates are fairly unanimous in being harder on China too, from what I understand, so there is no real upside for China in waiting to sign a deal - I think if US really want to sign a deal then it'll be done quickly.
Trump's comments are more likely a hedge in case a deal isn't signed before the election i.e. it's China's fault not his.......
Let's hope this gets sorted soon, starting with the talks next week.
