I hope I get some laughs out of saying I totally agree with you on this.
But exactly how might this happen? Any ideas? Would not any such NdFeB magnet-making require expensive or restrictive Japanese and/or Chinese licensing?
This is one of the reasons my thesis is partly based on less NdFeB in more motors, such as PMA-SRMs permit, and the advancing of other REE-reduction technologies in the wind industry. This would ease supply insecurities, just for starters.
