N.B.: 1. This is a recent short term observation.
2. 23 SMA was selected in this plot (23 is a prime number. No specific reasons for the choice).
3. The bollinger band was plotted using a time period of 20 bars.

1) Once a candle hits either side of a widening band, a continuation of the current trend has observed.
2) When a candle moves completely below the 23 SMA, it usually hits the lower side of the bollinger band and becomes the bears' territory.

This is simple to read and hope it helps your trading.
