today I acquired another 4 shorts, small in size - KMD, MTS, BRG & KAR, (3 retailers and gas).
my sort bid for PDN, a stock that I was not so sure about, was taken out and then it began to move against me , so I got rid of that quickly.... I will be keeping an eye on this one...... due to the market price of uranium ore causing one of its mines to close, and the other mine, which is also slightly uneconomic being half sold to gain some cash I believe its a doomed business - excellent for shorting ......
you seem to notice every thing Flem, ie the prices in the supermarkets etc. and that's a great way of keeping in touch with how companies are fairing.... Mitre 10 (timber and hardware) is one business that i see going down, they have never got what i want and there never seems to be any body in their stores = the competition from the big two.......They are owned by metcash (MTS) together with IGA supermarkets..... MTS is one of the companies that I am shorting.....
Jongo did you make any sense of my explanation on the use of trading bands and how prices move in trends???
