The fact that the SPX has managed to bounce off the 100 ma, plus the pending split of BHP was enough for me to close my BHP short on Monday morning for a loss. Consequently, despite good profits on the bank shorts a week or so ago, the net result of the 10 shorts that I opened in early August is a small loss. My strategy essentially relied on the SPX breaking down through the 100 ma and at least reaching the 200 ma. However, it was not to be, but at least I gave it a go. Now that my set of shorts from early August is finished, what shall I try next.
