jongo, I know I keep going on, but I was pleased for you in a way (even though the drop the bank share prices cost me) that you had taken out your shorts at the top of the markets oscillation and ridden them down to the bottom...... when you saw the market oscillation returning back upward then it was to me time to sell quickly.ie the world markets were all turning up at the same time too....... other than CBA and MQG I can't remember what other stocks you had, but I am assuming most of them moved down with the market, and then reversed back up again ?????...... don't know really know, its the general principle that matters..... tell me if you had sold your stocks when they began to turn up would you have done better.???????......
I don't suppose I can preach though, I am still holding some retailers short, which have moved against me with this upward part of the oscilation and I expect that there is a little bit further up to go before they turn around again - hopefully ... (my holding these retailers is also about the financials also as I consider them to be very much over priced ).......
on MQG you did extremely well, i'm glad I let that one go once I realized that I was on a looser......
did you hold CBA and reap the slight gain to do with the dividend subtracted from your account and the share price ?????
its possible with the upward movement of all share prices today that might have bee hard to obtain ???
