The government of China's autonomous Inner Mongolia region has decided to impose restrictions on rare earth supplies to local enterprises, which is expected to result in wide-scale shutdowns of these enterprises.

Market players have revealed that, due to the local government's restrictions on raw material supplies, many enterprises have started to turn to neighboring country Mongolia for rare earth supplies.
