Tuesday today in Melbourne town and weather was as predicted - 7 to 14 degrees, rain, with strong to gale force winds, with snow down to 600m. and blizzards in the alps.
my attire includes long johns and a beanie, no thongs and shorts down here - and the fashion police person has given up years ago.
MQA - the game here was that I had kept adding to my shorts as the price went higher and higher, well above the high of the previous wave (its an oscillating stock within a very steep upward trending trading band) - the high went much higher than the previous high just due to the steepness of the trading band.... so I had quadrupled up and was into bigger money..... the price started to retrace yesterday and went lower even more today.... today I released two of my shorts, one at a smaller profit and one at a very good profit...... two more to go and we are just a bit over half way to the bottom of the trading band... keeping fingers crossed and closing my stops... yes I had by mistake and had gone well over budget for just one stock, even though stops were in place...
AWE - it finally dropped to my buy price and then went up a little ...... so my oil stocks WPL, AWE, AND OSH are going ok ...... looking for a bit more up tomorrow with one of Iraq's major oil fields having been taken over (from the news tonight).. ...
IAG - closed out a big stake reluctantly with a very small loss....."will be back"
PDN - shorted 0.7 bites 2 days ago and then another 0.7 bites today.... may have chased the second one down a bit too far, but its been a hard one to catch.... This a good earner with very little outlay ......
