Will HVN become a good range trading stock GK, imo it is starting to look that way with a 290 to 330 range. Since early Nov-2013 the SP has:
Declined from 330 to 290 around 16-Dec.
Generated an ATR buy signal on 20-Dec, which was accompanied with an MACD cross, and a RSI14 bounce off 30.
Risen back to 330 on 13-Jan.
Back down to 290 around 4-Feb.
Generated an ATR buy signal on 10-Feb, which was accompanied with an MACD cross, and a RSI14 bounce off just above 30.
Risen back to 340 on 10-Mar, then consolidated in the 320 to 330 range for a while.
If the HVN SP could now move back down to around 290 in an orderly fashion, then a new ATR buy signal might be generated, and a range trade could be in play.
I am constantly looking for stocks that have reliable range trades in order to buy the dips and short the peaks. It’s not easy, but with perseverance and discipline, I believe successful range trading can be achieved.
