GK we had a great day. We set our selves up at the mouth of cabbage tree creek. This is near one of the local yacht clubs. Many of the yachts and milti hulls come from here to assemble at the start. We open a bottle of bubbles and toast each boat as it goes past. Quite close. One we always like to see is a classic boat. (look up southpassage.org.au)
We then go over to Redcliffe and set up a picnic lunch. The boats pass by about an hour or 2 after the start. (wind??)Still in Moreton Bay. The weather was fabulous. It is a carnival atmosphere.
The most impressive was a big tri. (search for Team Australia) It is now sponsored by BOQ.
