Hi Trainee, I see you are new to the forum and your sign on indicates you are learning the ropes (although sign-on's can be manipulated - mine could be supermegasexywealthytraderguyhunglikeahorse - but that would be plain lying!!)

ill elaborate, please excuse my ignorance if you already know the following....

Bots - short for 'robots' - traders use automated computer programs to eather accumulate or sell a stock small pieces at a time without alerting everyone else...

Say I wanted to buy $2 mill worth of a stock without alerting everyone else....i'd set up a bot to buy 1000 shares every few minutes or whenever to accumulate slowly to keep my intentions on buying so much under wraps...

bots are usually the big players who want to accumulate lots or manipulate the price. A bot buying regualrly could be regarded as a good sign (ie a big boy wanting to get into a stock).
