Why would you buy? A good question, Daz, to which I will answer with my own opinion....

I would most likely say it's because this company has the potential to be a game changer in the global energy industry. With the trillions of dollars being spent on energy around the world and the ever increasing demand for more efficient energy sources, I would say that it's a fairly sizable market.
There would appear to be a revolutionary paradigm shift away from centralised power generation to distributed generation, which most people that hold an interest in the industry would know.
As for the company itself, I do agree that the figures look disheartening as they stand and there is still some way to go....
On the other hand, CFU is well ahead of most other players in this niche in terms of commercialisation. Technology is proven, manufacturing facility is up and running, marketing and distribution underway, a few small runs on the board....
All that is left is to ramp up sales and move past the early innovators stage in the technology adoption lifecycle (early innovators -> early adopters -> early majority -> late majority -> laggards). As steam gathers, so will economies of scale be realised, and prices will decrease, which will increase sales.

    So why buy in?

Because for those that take the calculated risk, the rewards are potentially very large.
