Right now, more than at any other time in Australias history, we have more access to education, training and education. The gov is giving away Cert IIIs like they are candy, you can study any subject you like for free, and there are more subsidies for higher education levels. Hell, you can do a Harvard course for free right now!
Right now, if you want to know how to change a tyre or build an enterprise computer server, build a cabinet or repair a Cat 9 Dozer, there is a Youtube clip on it. We have access to open source research on everything from mudbricks to satellite communications. Things that previously would have been highly secret are now out there.
Australians need to spend a little less time on Netflix and more time on Open University.
