Modern employees might move between employers regularly.

Business says why pay to train someone who might leave their employment at the drop of a hat when they can use the services of the industry that had sprung up which brought in trained overseas visa workers to order.
Workers who were often tied to the employer if they wanted to stay in the country with the threat of losing their work rights.

Just short term thinking from the Lnp Govt Pugs. Bringing in short term workers to plug the dyke and allow a longer term strategy of Tafe trained tradies to dissipate, with savings going toward the dumb arse Lnp lifeline surplus.

Those same 457 tradies went home again and our locally trained boys and girls didn't exist. Talk abiout dumb and dumber.
