there's nothing stopping women from becoming tradies now, and there are quite a few out there. In the iron ore mining areas of Pilbara back in late 1980's the major miners like BHP and Fortescue had female sparkies and plumbers doing their apprenticeships way back then. It's become commonplace now to see females in most trades. I doubt trades like Bricky etc will ever be suitable due to the physicality. Most others are fine and they do well.
There's so many useless male tradies around the chicks are showing them up.
