First, there's bugger-all female tradies to hire. That is the problem. It's also a problem when male (young males) dominate the trade schools (TAFE) and the workplace. TAFE might train equally, but TAFE does not police the students' interactions (unless overly overt during classes). And like any workplace where any young men dominate a male dominated profession you will find intimidation, sexual harassment and disrespect. So yes, the current TAFE environment in the male dominated trade sector does not lend itself to being female friendly in the realm of uncivilized young men. Trade schools for women/girls would solve that problematic together with fostering like (female) minds and friendships of business nature when qualified.
