I was not referring to the trade war ( your definition) but to the wider problem of the USA going broke
As to trade war it is very early in that debate yet
I agree that one of Trumps methods of throwing all the s3ite into the fan to get a response is a bit dramatic, but if you follow any World discussion, the diplomats can often take 20 years to reach a result
As can be seen NATO has now begun to talk, and the rest of the world has for many years relied on the USA for Aid instead of looking after itself
Back in Rudds day, Rudd proposed that Australia got at least six submarines and many missiles to boost it's defense capability against China.
He was deposed and the plan was promptly lost --- so now we are in the position that unless the USA help us we can be invaded by a few armed Chinese in a few rowing boats
