    It's an interesting debate, the whole idea of how different professions are paid differently. Generally I believe its about price fixing, albeit an informal style of it.

    Let's take a job such as lawn-mowing. If all the lawn-mowers decided to get together and price fix, they could charge whatever they liked. Sure, more people would mow their own lawns, but in general, mowers would start to rake it in. Would someone come in and try to undercut the high priced mowers? - maybe, but wouldn't it be easier to just join the gravy train and get a patch of your own to mow? Sometimes price fixing is sort of an unspoken aggreement. It's not always a formal process. Not really a fair arrangement.
